UK rising artist, Carley Varley returns with her latest EP titled ‘Seasons.’TheEPfocuses on seasons in relationships and Carley write emotive songs that listeners can really relate to. Mixing Indie and Pop elements, Carley takes inspiration from artists such as Taylor Swift and Hayley Williams, creating catchy hooks that convey the emotions behind the lyrics perfectly. The EP begins with summer and the Indie Pop hit ‘Going Under’, this song focuses on feelings of anxiety on-top of a catchybeat and lead guitar. This song reflects the feeling of summer in its instrumentation, but the lyrics focus on the fear of not being able to keep yourself afloat. ‘I always felt this way in summer as September often meant the start of something new, I wanted to focus on this feeling whilst keeping the feel of the song light and upbeat.’Carley said. The next single then leads into autumn and is very appropriatelycalled ‘Fall.’This song certainly gives Swift vibes as the writing is very descriptiveandthe hook will be stuck in your head for a season!
