We have always been passionate about food, Emma about cooking it and Andy about eating it, and over the years our cookbook collection has grown out of control!
In 2012 we went on a year-long trip around the world, tasted hundreds of dishes, ate dozens of street food snacks and explored lots and lots of busy markets. From dim sum to dosas, we ate our way from continent to continent.
Inspired by everything we had experienced and tasted we decided that when we got home our next adventure would be to start our own street food business.
After spending a lot of time sourcing ingredients, meeting producers and stuffing our faces (all in the name of research!) in late 2013, The Gourmet Grilled Cheese Company was born!
We love cheese, so choosing to make amazing British cheeses our main ingredient was an easy decision. Taking inspiration from the street food scene in London we have developed our business around what we feel we can do best … tasty, hot, British food.
